The trees were etched with haunting faces, seemingly watching the travellers’ every move, concealed by a veil of darkness.
With the first light of dawn, the abhorrent strings reverberated through the woods; madness sipped into the minds of the intrepid wanderers.
Their screams harmonised with the plucked chords as their transformation commenced.

They became living strings, tendrils forever entangled in the enigma of the string theory.

❖ About Dark Septum ❖

David Tkatsch, a rising star and a formidable force in the vibrant German psytrance scene, is a versatile producer and musician based in Hamburg. With a rock-solid background in guitar, cello, and keyboard, his musical journey took a tranceformative turn circa 2011 when he started producing psychedelic dance music.
David’s name is synonymous with his Darkpsy/Hitech Project DARK SEPTUM (Damaru Records / Darkweb) which is defined by an atmospheric and melodic dark sound - spanning a tempo range from 155 to 195 bpm. Its sound design is characterized by dirty analog sounds created via modular synthesis, as well as dramatic bassline harmonies. Especially the epic storytelling and the film-like emotions transported through the tracks are trademarks of DARK SEPTUM.

He is also known for his project AFFREQTIC (Sun Department Records) which comprises a complex sound design and arrangement with melodic-emotional parts in the tempo region of 146 to 150 bpm. He has aptly named this distinctive individual style as Epic Twilight.

Beyond the psytrance realm, David's musical interests extend into the Post Black Metal/Post Metal scene. This influence finds its way into his DARK SEPTUM project, where he skillfully integrates his own electric guitar playing and the raw energy of metal screams from the lead singer of his Black Metal Band. Having already captivated audiences in Germany, Austria, Canada, and Israel, David eagerly looks forward to showcasing and sharing his music with friends and fans around the globe.
